Bringing a new rabbit into your home is a special and exciting time - but there is an art to introducing him to your current bun(s), and it's not always easy. If not done in a way that allows for proper bonding, your rabbits may end up fighting. Sometimes rabbit bonding is an easy process, but oftentimes it can be time-consuming and it always requires your attention. Because rabbits have their own personalities, generalized information on this topic can seem confusing and can be ineffective.
I can guide you through the basics of bonding and how to avoid the pitfalls many newcomers make when it comes to bonding. I will show you how to set up the pens and your bonding space and the most common body language signs to watch out for.
Initial Consultation: $150 (requires a 2-hour visit)
Package: $450 Includes the Initial Consultation plus 5 additional 1-hour sessions to help you get started and comfortable with the process.
Additional Sessions: $75 (1-hour)
Virtual Consultation via FaceTime: $75 (1-hour)
Do you suddenly find yourself with a bunny with special needs? I can help advise you on how to set up your space to accommodate your rabbit's condition, show you how to give a butt bath, administer oral medications and answer any questions you may have.
At-home Consultation: $150 (2-hour visit)
Brand new to rabbits? Let's make sure you and your furry companion start off your relationship on the right foot. I will advise you on diet, housing and most importantly - bunny proofing your home!
In-person Consultation: $150 (2-hour visit)
Consultation via FaceTime: $75 (1 hour)
Payment is due at the time of reservation. I accept Paypal and Venmo. Please give at least 24-hour notice if you need to cancel. If less than 24-hour notice is given, a refund will not be given, but your payment can be credited toward a future appointment if booked within 30 days.
If booking a Bonding Consultation, please note that all rabbits must be spayed and/or neutered and at least one month must have passed since spay/neuter.
Do you have any questions or is there another rabbit topic not listed you wish to address, or do you live outside of Los Angeles? Contact me to see if I can help!

I have known Jody for about 10 years, as a fellow rabbit rescuer. I have found her to be extremely knowledgeable with regards to all aspects of rabbit care. I run Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue and we take in elderly and special needs rabbits - the kind of rabbits who generally need a high level of at-home medical care. Jody is one of the very few individuals I would refer similar rescues to, because I know they would get the top flight care they need and deserve. She is also one of the very few people I would trust with any of the rabbits in my care. In short, Jody is an amazingly knowledgeable and loving bunny person.

Jody Springborn is a bunny expert. She has helped me through many GI stasis bouts, advocated on my behalf to a vet, answered all of my nervous bunny parent questions, and was a great deal of help when my rabbits very suddenly unbonded. I have been incredibly grateful for all of her help over the years and she is the perfect rabbit expert for any rabbit need.

In the years we’ve had rabbits in our lives, Jody has always been one of our top resources for advice and how-to knowledge. When we adopted our first rabbits several years ago, we were pretty clueless. We’ll always appreciate her patience with us as she taught us the basics from proper rabbit diet and proper housing to more advanced home care like subcutaneous fluids. Even now, having had rabbits for nearly a decade, Jody is always one of our first calls when we have rabbit care questions. Her knowledge of rabbits is vast, and you can tell how much she loves them. I’m inspired by Jody’s kindness and dedication to the rabbits.

Jody’s knowledge and expertise with all things rabbit has been a true blessing for me!! She was always there to answer the many questions I had and was as good as talking to a vet. Not much stumped her... no matter how subtle. Rabbits are complex animals with very special needs. My 2 senior rabbits required very specialized care and I had no clue how to manage them. She guided me and made me feel competent in all areas of their care. She also supported me with decision making to euthanize my dwarf rabbit. There is nothing more important that a rabbit loving resource like Jody. You will find no one better.

I have known Jody for many years. She always has an open ear for issues with bunny bonding or bunny health issues...sometimes even at wee hours. She is hands down the most bunny knowledgeable person I know. Even at times when a bonding seems lost, she offers interesting and deep insight into what makes "bunnies tick". Knowing what the problem is, is one step closer to making a bonding work. Above anything, however, she remains calm even when fur is flying, which is one skill I admire the most.

Jody is a lifesaver!
I had a lone free roaming rabbit that needed a friend desperately. I adopted another rabbit & underestimated the bonding process. I was in need of help & guidance on how I should bond the two. I had done research but still felt so lost.
I found Jody online & emailed her right away asking for help, I was desperate. I live in a state with no resources or rabbit rescues. Jody quickly responded & we set up a Zoom consultation for the very next day.
Jody was wonderful, she answered every question & concern I had during our Zoom call. We talked well over 2 hours. She guided me step by step on the bonding process & how long each step should be. Jody had so much information that I had not read while researching.
I am so grateful that Jody was able to assist me & be my only resource.

Jody helped me to bond my senior boy with a new girl after losing his long term companion. Jody was quite literally my strength and stay! The process was very intense and stressful for me and my bunnies, but Jody was there for us every step of the way. From the initial consultation to constant text messages, check-ins and follow-up FaceTimes, she did her best to keep me calm and making the right decisions for all of our well-beings. Jody was truly a source of strength for me as I navigated the bonding process. I now have two smitten and cuddly bunnies, and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend her to anyone looking to enrich their rabbit's life with a bonded partner.
